October 19, 2021
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
America/New_York
Online

After a traumatic event(s), many find it challenging to be present within their bodies and minds. In this workshop, participants will learn ways to become more present and practice them in session. Participants will be guided through mindful meditation exercises focused on bringing a sense of awareness and peace to our physiological and affective states. Participants will learn tools to feel more connected to themselves and their physical environment. and learn ways to assert their boundaries effectively. We will begin with a body scan coupled with diaphragmatic breathing and then engage in guided visualizations to support a sense of well-being and connectedness. All levels of experience with mindfulness are welcome. No materials are needed for this workshop. Led by CPS.

Please note, this satisfies the sexual respect requirement of the 2021 Community Citizenship Initiative.
